3.0 TARGET GROUP
- Contractor Safety Coordinators, Contractor Site Superintendents,
Line Supervisors, Team Leaders and all Contractor personnel providing
plant operations and maintenance services at TTEMAS member companies
- Team Leaders and members of work teams of owner companies, who
are responsible for supervising contractors.
4.0 PROCEDURE FOR ACCESSING & CONDUCT OF THE PROGRAM
The member company shall make the request of the Secretary in writing (by letter or e-mail) for the provision of the service and shall be guided by the following:
1. A minimum lead-time of three (3) weeks notice is required.
2. The member shall identify the contractor(s), the nature of the service,
approximate number of prospective participants.
3. The member shall co-ordinate all arrangements for the training.
4. Program duration is eight (8) hours.
5. Minimum class size is twenty five (25) participants up to a maximum
of fifty (50) persons.
6. The member shall be prepared to review separately with the contractor(s)
his HSE Policy and arrangements for giving effect to the Policy,
Site Specific Hazards & Control Measures, Emergency Procedures, Permit
to Work System.
7. Prospective participants shall be literate, possessing the basic reading
and writing skills.
8. Meals and refreshments are to be provided by the member company or
contractor.
9. Member company is responsible for providing suitable accommodation
or alternatively arranging with the contractor to use his facility.
10. Course materials and handouts are to be reproduced by the member company.
11. A minimum pass mark of sixty per cent is required for certification.
12. Certificates are valid for a period of two years from date of issue.
